Testing is per lot
Testing applies to a production lot, not to a product line in general. That is why the lot number on your vial is the thing that matters: it is what connects the material in your hand to a specific certificate with a specific date and a specific measured result.
What the published reports cover
Two kinds of report are published on this site:
- Purity and identity. The proportion of the sample that is the stated compound, measured by HPLC, with identity confirmed by mass spectrometry, plus the net content measured against the declared amount.
- Endotoxin. A pass or fail against a stated bacterial endotoxin threshold, by LAL assay.
A given lot may have one of these, or both. The reports page shows exactly which reports exist — it is generated from the report files themselves, so it cannot list a report that is not there.
Where documentation is thinner, we say so
Each row on the reports page carries a source label, and the page shows a count of how many reports state a purity rather than implying the average covers all of them. Where a document is a summary restating a result rather than the laboratory's original issued report, it is labelled generated and you can ask us for the underlying laboratory document.
Products with no report on file say so on their own product page. We would rather show a gap than imply a certificate that does not exist.
What a certificate is and is not
A certificate describes one sample, tested on one date, by one laboratory. It is evidence about that sample. It is not a guarantee about every vial in a lot, not a statement about storage after testing, and not an approval of any use.
Your own verification
You do not have to take the summary table's word for anything: every report is downloadable in full as a PDF, and the accession number on each one is the testing laboratory's own reference for that sample. Reading a lab report walks through the fields.
Supplier qualification, incoming-material checks, sampling method, retention samples and how often a line is re-tested are specific to your own operation — set out your actual process here before launch, and do not describe testing that does not happen.
